Book Review: A Heart Divided by Kathleen Morgan

Excerpt: "You'll regret this to your dying day, Cord Wainwright," she cried. "Just you wait and see!"

He reined in his horse and nudged it in the direction that led out of town. "Believe me, I already do," he said with a rueful sigh. "Just remember one thing, you little wildcat. Whatever path my suffering leads me down, I fully intend to take you along for the ride." A Heart Divided, pg 36.

Back Cover: When fate brings them together, they must choose between family ties and love.

The Caldwells and Wainwrights have been feuding for decades. Still, Sarah Caldwell has misgivings when her father pressures her into distracting a ranch hand while he and her brothers rob the Wainwright place. When it becomes clear that hand is actually Cord Wainwright, heir of the Wainwright holdings, Sarah realizes things have gone too far.

As the feud boils over, Cord and Sarah make a most inconvenient discovery - they just might be falling in love. Can they betray their families to see where this attraction leads? Or will their families betray them?

Against the beautiful and wild backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in 1878 comes this sweeping saga of romance, betrayal, and forgiveness from beloved author Kathleen Morgan.

My Review: Kathleen Morgan weaves a story full of family loyalty despite deep hurts and blood feuds. When Sarah Caldwell and Cord Wainwright clash, sparks fly, but is it enough to get either of their attention and draw them away from the decades deep hurt that have existed between their families. A Heart Divided is a story of love, betrayal, sacrifice and forgiveness. Can these two young people reach out and help heal the hearts of their embittered fathers? Can they really find love in the middle of difficult circumstances? Will the feud ever be over? What is the ultimate price that must be paid to end the hard feelings from the past? I'm not going to tell you. You'll have to read the book to find out!

My Rating:

My Recommendation: I recommend this book to those who enjoy Westerns with a romantic twist.
