Book Review: Reclaiming Lily by Patti Lacy

My Review: Patti Lacy tells a story of deep pain and great joy. Reclaiming Lily is full of difficult, true to life situations. International adoption, kidney disease, teenage angst, attempted suicide and a host of other difficult topics are found in these pages. Lacy deals with these hard issues in a wonderful way, showing that the God of Love transcends all these troubles, and He is with us even in our darkest moments. This message comes through loud and clear, but is not preachy. I was captivated by the characters, and found some of the details very interesting, especially in regard to the cultural revolution in China. This book is well worth the read.

My Recommendation: I recommend this book to readers who are interested in fiction that explores cultural differences and kidney disease.
